OUR MISSION

We launched Service Marketing Leaders to create a dedicated space for marketing leaders in service based businesses to connect, share, and learn from others facing similar challenges.

Whilst ecommerce marketing leaders have no shortage of groups, events, and resources, service marketing is often overlooked.

However, service marketing leaders have a distinctive set of challenges, and there is great value in networking with your fellow peers who likely have encountered similar obstacles to yourself.

WHAT SETS US APART

How does this differ from other marketing leader networking groups?

This is a focused group of senior marketers from service based businesses. Unlike broader networks, the shared context means the challenges that our members face as well as the solutions are far more relevant.

With just one member per industry, you will never be in a meeting with direct competitors, allowing for open and honest discussion. Membership is via invitation only, and if you accept and attend, then none of your direct competitors will be invited to join the group.

This space is exclusively for peer to peer connection and knowledge sharing no sales pitches.

SERVICE BUSINESS CHALLENGES

Shared challenges our members face

Beyond the common hurdles most marketing leaders encounter, service based marketers deal with a distinct set of complexities. Having a group with other marketing leaders facing these same challenges can be useful in helping you address them.

Operational Complexity
Services are people driven, not product led. Scaling delivery while maintaining consistency and quality is inherently more difficult when your "product" is intangible.
Sales Heavy Funnels
Unlike ecommerce, service marketing often depends on skilled sales teams to close leads. Call handling, consultations, and follow ups are all critical touchpoints in a longer, more complex sales process.
Multiple Services
With a mixture of different services sold, some high margin, some low, developing the right method is an ongoing balancing act.
Multi Location Performance Gaps
Multi site businesses frequently face disparities in lead volume and performance. The issue isnot always volume it is getting the right leads to the right location.
Long Buyer Journeys
Conversions are not instant. Prospects often engage with multiple people across marketing, sales, and delivery teams before committing. Nurturing does not stop at the first click.
Lead Quality
Form fills, callbacks, brochure downloads leads vary in format and intent. Ensuring they are qualified and ready to convert is vital to ROI.
Attribution Challenges
From PPC and SEO to offline referrals and brand activity, understanding what is working and what is not is far more complex in service based businesses.
Building Trust and Credibility
When you are selling expertise, trust becomes your greatest asset. Building credibility and standing out in a crowded market is a continuous effort.
